Plan a Trip

Use this page to learn about the sites and attractions to explore along Lakes to Locks Passage, the Great Northeast Journey. We have identified "Waypoint Communities" that will meet and greet the visitor, and serve as hubs to the landscape around them.

On the column to the left you can use the drop down button to choose the communities you wish to travel between, and then check off the interests you wish to explore. Once submitted, you will get a list of sites and their current information. Be sure to check out the appropriate county tourism office for a listing of special events and places to shop, dine or spend the night.

Or, you can learn about the region based upon a "theme." The column on the right lists the regions "storylines," select the ones that interest you and submit. The results will provide an overview of the story and list the sites to visit. You will notice that some sites have many stories to tell, so be sure to include them in your travel plans!

We hope that you find the Lakes to Locks Passage Plan-A-Trip useful, please contact us with your comments and suggestions.
